FAQ

Why should I go to therapy?

Therapy can be intimidating at first but once the process has started, client's feel empowered to continue the journey. Therapy can help address struggles pertaining to many mental health challenges, including anxiety and depression.

Does Therapy Work?

Therapy works when the client is ready and open to begin the work on themselves. Each goal and objective is catered to the client and therefore can only be met with both the client and therapist working together.

Who needs therapy?

Therapy is for everyone. One size does not fit all when it comes to the therapeutic relationship but once successfully established, change can occur.

Medication vs. Therapy?

As licensed therapists and social workers, we do not have the ability to prescribe medications. We can refer to a physician and are generally familiar with the types of medications. Psychotropic medications are prescribed by psychiatrists and MDs.

How does Confidentiality work?

Therapy is successful if there is a certain amount of trust established. As written in the Informed Consent, the limits of confidentiality are spelled out. Confidentiality can only be broken in instances in which the client is a danger to themselves or others or there is suspected abuse to a vulnerable population.

Can I use insurance to mitigate cost?

We currently do not accept any insurances at this time. We can provide a Superbill if a client would like to attempt to get reimbursed from their insurance company.
